CREA-ZA (Research Center in Livestock and Aquaculture) in collaboration with ILS (The International Legume Society) organizes the webinar as part of strategies to deal with root rot in peas and lentils.

The presentation will outline the pea and lentil root rot situation in Canada and its impact on pulse production. A path forward for root rot management involves developing a reliable soil test for root rot pathogen inoculum levels, implementation of beneficial in-field management strategies and judicious deployment of partially resistant cultivars, when they become available. Research into these topics over the last 10 years will be highlighted.

The speaker will be Syama Chatterton (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Lethbridge)

Participation is free and does not require registration. Details and recordings of previous webinars are available on the website: https://www.legumesociety.org/ils-webinars-2024-2025
