The Laboratory carries out functional analyzes in search of the effects of pig nutrition on the quality of the meat and, in particular: quantity (Soxhlet method) and composition of the fat through its gas chromatographic analysis. For the purposes of assessing the environmental impact of livestock, both feed (dry matter; ash; proteins; fiber components; fats) and livestock manure (total solids, volatile solids, COD, total and ammonia nitrogen, phosphorus) are characterized. , alkalinity, pH). An automatic mineral nitrogen analyzer is also available, used to monitor the impact of fertilization with livestock manure.
