Plant biochemistry laboratory, Lodi

The laboratory deals with: the evaluation of nutritional parameters of plant species for animal feeding; the definition and development of NIRS equations for their rapid determination; the development of chromatographic (GC, HPLC) and spectrometric (MS) analytical methods for the qualitative and quantitative characterization of metabolites of interest; the study of the biosynthesis of these metabolites with the aim to improve the nutritional quality of crops and the evaluation of their activities aimed at their potential use in the agro-zootechnical industry.
