Veterinary Clinical Chemistry Laboratory

The laboratory is equipped with a photometric analyzer for clinical chemistry (ILAB 650) for metabolic determinations on organic matrices (blood, milk, urine, saliva, etc.). The evaluable parameters are the following: serum electrolytes; kidney function; liver function; carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism; enzymatic activities. The laboratory is also equipped with an analyzer for metabolic and hormonal determinations by immunoenzymatic method (ELISA), also useful for the analysis of indirect markers of oxidative stress (ROM, BAP, haptoglobin, lysozyme and bactericide).
