Crop phenotyping platforms (Lodi)

The Centre holds three large phenotyping platforms, each formed by a set of four large rain-sheltered managed environments with different soils equipped for the application of environment-specific drought stress levels under monitored humidity along the soil profile. These platforms, accounting for about 520 square meters of overall cropping surface, allow to study plants’ responses to contrasting drought stress levels and soil types over the entire crop cycle.
