Prototype of two-phase and two-stage anaerobic digester for the production of hydrogen and methane

A two-stage prototype plant with a high degree of automation and broad flexibility of process parameters was built at the Monterotondo center, capable of producing both biogas containing H2 and biogas containing CH4. The trial is carried out in collaboration with CREA-IT and concerns the optimization of the fermentation of livestock waste in co-digestion with by-products of dairy processing and other matrices of agricultural origin.
