Wheat grain quality: an italian researcher amongst authors of the prestigious pubblication on The Plant Cell

The research team coordinated from Pechino University and in collaboration with Vincenzo Rossi, researcher of the Council of Agricultural Research and Economics – Research Centre of Cereal and Industrial Crops, reveals the mechanism of the transcription factor TaNAC 019 in the wheat endosperm.

The important study, just accepted from the prestigious journal The Plant Cell (American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) Journal Impact Factor: 10.144), shows that the endosperm-specific transcription factor TaNAC 01 9 regulates glutenin and starch accumulation and its elite allele improves wheat grain quality.
