What's this

ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) is a European Research Infrastructure that is one of those selected by the ESFRI (European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures) and has been included in the Road Map of almost all European countries, including Italy. The aim is to create a network of monitoring stations for greenhouse gas flows and concentrations (GHGs) and to guarantee continuity in data acquisition in the years to come. Silvano Fares is the national scientific coordinator of the ecosystem network.
