Wood quality and wood technology - Casale Monferrato

The facilities dedicated to wood technology consist of: 

• a main laboratory and  related offices, equipped for the preparation and inclusion in paraffin of wooden sections suitable to be analyzed under an optical microscope with digital camera and dedicated image analysis system. The lab equipment includes a fan-assisted oven, a climatic cabinet (controlled humidity thermostatic chamber), precision metrological equipment and a tensiometer; 
• a laboratory / carpentry for the preparation of specimens for the physical and technological characterization of wood; 
• a laboratory for carrying out industrial transformation tests, equipped with a rotary veneer cutter, a cutter and a heated platen press.
