What's this

The Research Centre for Engineering and Agro-Food Processing, Pescara laboratories, carries out analysis to verify the authenticity of oils and fats samples at national and international level (Annual recognition of the International Olive Oil Council at the " Counter-analysis laboratory" of the Pescara laboratories verifiable on the website: www.internationaloliveoil.org/estaticos/view/226-laboratories-panels).

Delivery mode

The client shall examine the list of analyses that are carried out at the Centre and the relative cost, then send a letter of assignment (with acceptance of the list prices) together with the sample to be analysed by postal service (the cost of sending the sample is at charged to the customer). The sample is taken in charge at the Centre, registered and then analysed. Once the relative certificate has been issued, it is sent, together with the invoice, to the client.

Third party activities for the analysis of oils are addressed to: International Olive Oil Council, Italian Public Bodies, Public Community and Extra-Community Bodies, Italian private clients, Private Community and Extra-EU clients.

What is it for

Implementation of methods to control the genuineness and quality of olive oil and olive-pomace oils. Characterization of production areas and olive oil cultivars. Study of the shelf-life of virgin olive oils. Identification of global quality indexes: organoleptic, conservative and nutritional of extra virgin olive oils.
