Testing Centre (Acireale)

The Testing Centre for the Citrus Derivatives Industry of Acireale is a Technology structure and aims to promote specialized services to companies and to support the technological innovation of agro-food industries operating in Sicily. The structure is equipped with several pilot plants, including a supercritical carbon dioxide extraction and pasteurization plant, a plant for the minimally processed fruit production, a cold deterpenation plant for essential oils, a resin plant for the extraction of biologically active substances.
