modernAKIS, EU-FarmBook, PREMIERE, ATTRACTISS: the voice of CREA Research Centre for Agricultural Policies and Bioeconomy at Fieragricola 2024
The Research Centre for Agricultural Policies and Bioeconomy, with the National Rural Network, participates in the conference "AKIS: a system that provides knowledge and innovation for the agriculture of the future", organized by the Veneto region, as part of Fieragricola 2024, the international Veronafiere event promoting innovation in agriculture to be held from January 31st to February 3rd.
The event - which will take place on 2 February from 12.00 to 1.30 pm, in the Veronafiere Congress Centre (Respighi hall, first floor, Palaexpo) - is divided into two sessions.
The first session relies on the expertise and experience of CREA to provide an overview of the AKIS (Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System) in Europe and Italy, with a speech by Anna Vagnozzi on the activities of the National Rural Network - Innovation Sheet. Following, Simona Cristiano and Patrizia Proietti illustrate the Innovative European projects working on AKIS, that see the participation of the Research Centre: modernAKIS, EU-FarmBook, PREMIERE, ATTRACTISS.
The second part of the event analyzes the state of the art of AKIS in Veneto and the path that was taken, including the "AKIS Back Office", in collaboration with Veneto Agricoltura, to support consultants and operators of the agricultural system.
Fieragricola 2024 is a program strongly oriented towards innovation and the main sectors of modern agriculture, dealing with climate change - the leitmotif of the 116th edition - and with an obstacle course towards the green and digital transition, which seeks to safeguard the farm business performance and the supply chain efficiency, to ensure traceability and certification of the origin and quality of production.
The event represents an important opportunity to present the state of the art, the completed and future activities on the projects. In particular: modernAKIS aims to improve AKIS actors’ capacities to leverage individual, organizational and systemic resources needed for the transformation towards more coherent, effective, and efficient AKIS systems and the transition to a more sustainable management and use of natural resources in farming and forestry; EU-FarmBook is working at regional, national, and European level, to build a Digital Platform, that will be live on 8th of February 2024, gathering and sharing agriculture and forestry knowledge, based on a co-creation approach and built on EURAKNOS and EUREKA outputs. The EU-FarmBook Platform will soon be a reality; PREMIERE will foster the development of coherent and well-prepared multi-actor projects; ATTRACTISS aims to improve & embed competencies, approaches, instruments & governance models for Member States (MS) AKIS and specifically for Innovation Support Services (ISS).
An occasion that establishes, once again, the long-lasting and fruitful collaboration between the Veneto Region and CREA.
